Parallax ("the App") is operated by Cygne Noir Cyber LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), a California limited liability company. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use Parallax on iOS and Android.
By using Parallax, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, and profile picture via Google OAuth. We use this solely to authenticate your identity. We do not store your email address or name in our systems.
With your permission, we access your YouTube account data via the YouTube Data API v3, specifically:
We do not access your watch history, search history, comments, or any other YouTube data. We do not access or store any YouTube data beyond what is listed above.
We analyze your liked videos and subscriptions to generate a "Digital Persona" — an anonymized interest profile used to power recommendations. This profile is stored using a one-way cryptographic hash of your user ID, meaning it cannot be linked back to your identity. No personally identifiable information is stored as part of your Digital Persona.
We collect standard app usage data including device type, operating system version, and crash reports solely for app performance and stability purposes.

Your Digital Persona (anonymized interest profile) is cached for a maximum of 24 hours and then automatically deleted and regenerated. We do not maintain long-term storage of your YouTube data. Raw YouTube data (liked videos, subscriptions) is processed in memory and never written to permanent storage.
You have the right to permanently delete all data associated with your account at any time. To do so, go to Settings → Transparency Dashboard → Delete All Data. This action is immediate, permanent, and irreversible. Upon deletion, all cached data associated with your account is permanently removed from our systems.
Parallax displays advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising at any time through your device settings:

Parallax uses YouTube API Services. By using Parallax, you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service and Google's Privacy Policy.
You can revoke Parallax's access to your YouTube data at any time by visiting your Google Account permissions page and removing Parallax.
We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to any third party. We do not share your data with advertisers. Data is shared only with the following service providers strictly for app functionality:
All service providers are bound by data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own purposes.
GDPR (EEA/UK users): You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict processing of, and port your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at the address below.
CCPA (California residents): You have the right to know what personal data we collect, request deletion of your data, and opt out of the sale of your data. We do not sell personal data.

Parallax is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.
We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), cryptographic hashing of user identifiers, and access controls on all data storage systems. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
